Loneliness is hardest in the quiet hours. We match an elder with a caring student—chosen together—so a familiar face arrives each week. The volunteer spends 3–4 hours every week on conversation, games, reading, or a gentle walk. We provide training, travel, and a small stipend to keep visits consistent.
We pair one elder in a Mumbai old-age home with one caring college volunteer they help choose. The same student visits once a week for 3–4 hours to talk, play games, read, or take a short walk—turning lonely time into time that feels seen and valued.
Your ₹5,000 supports two months of weekly visits for one elder. Each match is designed to continue toward a full year with ongoing support from our team
We are launching right after Diwali. Early donors help us finish training and confirm the first elder–student matches.
In partnership old-age homes across Mumbai.
Reduced loneliness, improved mood and engagement for elders; a trusted weekly relationship; quicker flagging of concerns to home staff. We track visits completed, continuity of the match, elder/home feedback, and notable wellbeing moments.
Consistency needs accountability. ₹5,000 typically covers two months of one elder’s companionship:
• Volunteer honorarium: ~₹3,000 (₹1,500/month)
• Travel support: ~₹1,200 (₹600/month)
• Training, supervision & materials: ~₹800
This small, structured support ensures the student show
You’re welcome to give any amount. Most donors choose ₹3,000, but every rupee helps us reach more beneficiaries in need.
