 This idea stems from the deepseated connection between technology and the youth today. Technology now forms the link bridging the youth to society. Keeping this aspect in mind, our foundation aims to develop a software to connect the youth to the elderly population, who are usually left out owing to their inability to adapt to incoming technology. This software would allow the aged person/s to connect to the nearest volunteer for aid in any aspect of their life. This would thus, serve the purpose of involving the elderly into mainstream society as well as allowing the young to reach them. It would not require either parties to move from their respective geographic location and despite that, give and take each other’s services. This is tangential to the idea of visiting Old-Age Homes or carrying out charity-drives. Often getting discouraged from such activities owing to  physical factors like distance, this software would allow them to play out their role in providing a more wholesome and inclusive environment for the Aged. It would have a magnified impact upon the aged by creating a sense of proximity to the young and driving away the helplessness and loneliness they so often feel. 

 With increased access to phones and internet, the youth can take advantage of such opportunities to receive a commendation for their time and aid act as an incentive and help them along in their careers. 

The ‘socio-tech’ aspect of the software allows one to simply receive assistance as soon as possible from a volunteer closest to that respective location. This helps in meeting emergency/ urgent needs of the aged without the obstructions caused by delay or unavailability of assistance. These factors by themselves create a sense of alienation amongst the elderly as they feel all alone in such desperate times of need. 

Aapka Sahara Foundation along with its events, therapies and Medi-Camps further attempt to address these issues through the harnessing of technology. It would keep the Youth, the Aged and Our Foundation connected in a way which would prove promising for all parties. It forms the basis of the Foundation i.e., uplifting the mentally-affected aged through the participation of the younger generations.
