Who Are We?

Aapka Sahara Foundation is India's first charitable Trust dedicated to the psychological welfare of senior citizens at old age homes. Brainchild of Anubhav Bansal and his talented team, the Mumbai-based NGO is operational in 10 different cities, focusing on practical mental health solutions and elder care. Beyond this, we are the first organization in India working towards implementing mental health awareness in the education system. Registered under the Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950, and certified for 80G donations, our commitment to mental well-being and compassionate care began officially on December 20th, 2019."

What Do We Do?

Aapka Sahara Foundation extends its empathetic reach, for senior citizens and mental well-being for all ages. By organizing tailored therapeutic activities like dance, sound, and art therapy in old age homes, the foundation creates individualized experiences that resonate with the elderly. The organization's holistic approach is evident in its seminars, workshops, and awareness campaigns that cater to all ages, recognizing mental health as an intersection of emotional, psychological, and physical states. Driven by a vision to support, enrich, and destigmatize mental health in India, ASF's multifaceted programs exemplify a commitment to compassion, respect, and comprehensive care for all.

Why Do We Do It?

We at Aapka Sahara Foundation pursue our mission because we recognize the profound loneliness and helplessness often felt among the elderly, especially those whose children have settled abroad or who have been marginalized by society. The founder, Anubhav Bansal, was moved by the loneliness endured by the aged and decided to create a support system that goes beyond mere assistance, focusing on the complete psychological welfare. By providing medical, financial, and emotional aid,  we work to ensure that the elderly are treated with the respect, love, and companionship. We also extend to broader mental health advocacy, recognizing that mental well-being is essential for a fulfilling life.

How Do We Do It?

At Aapka Sahara Foundation, our dedicated team of 40 members, along with part-time employees, works diligently to meet the unique needs of various old age homes across India. We conduct research and examine  each home before planning activities, whether medical, financial, or therapeutic. Our therapists utilize innovative therapies to foster emotional, cognitive, physical, and social integration, benefiting both physical and mental health. Additionally, we've forged notable collaborations, such as the United Nations-backed ‘Girl Up’, and organized impactful online events like 'AWAAZ- Let the Silence be heard' and 'Emotional Intelligence with Pooja Punjabi,' all aligned with our  mission.
