Aapka Sahara Foundation is proud to operate Pan India. We are expanding our work across various cities, commencing from Kolkata’s Divine Foundation Old Age Home, where we conducted our first introductory session on Dance Movement Therapy. We are hiring volunteers from across different cities in order to establish a better rapport with all Old Age Homes. We wish to improve psychological welfare which we carried outlfare of the elderly across India irrespective of city boundaries by conducting sessions and seminars in 10 cities in India. We hope to further this growth and provide help to all the senior citizens who may need it.
Aapka Sahara Foundation is an ambitious organisation in support of mental health affecting every facet of the population. We have strived to carry out our aspirations and ambitions through the organisation of numerous events and seminars aimed at spreading awareness, help and love for all those brave enough to voice their struggles. We have collaborated with several organisations with whom we share a common agenda and are working towards a common target in the future. This includes the United Nations Girl Up, RC Medicrew, Finnacle Magazine and other such highly esteemed organisations. At the grassroot level, we have hosted events for senior citizens atOld-Age Homes to provide a safe space for communication, relaxation and revelation. The Foundation has furthered it’s reach and influence by conducting PanIndia events to provide senior citizens with free medical checkups.
Besides this, our ‘Grow in India’ initiative is a petition to incorporate sessions on mental health into the Indian. Education System which is the first initiative of its kind in India. Besides focusing on mental health, what distinguishes us is our unconventional approaches to battling it. We have organised over fifty sessions of Dance Movement Therapy along with Sound Therapy to help senior citizens which has proven to provide overall relief physically and mentally. These are particularly instrumental in helping the aged who are afflicted with such ailments by virtue of growing old. All our efforts are in line with our organisation’s motto -“Aapki Khushi, Humari Khushi” which we will strive to uphold and carry forward into the future.
