Music triggers uplifting changes in the brain which has a renewing effect on the body as a whole. Neurological researchers have found that listening to music triggers the release of several neurochemicals that play a role in brain function and mental health: dopamine, a chemical associated with pleasure and “reward” centers, stress hormones like cortisol, serotonin and other hormones related to immunity and oxytocin, a chemical that fosters the ability to connect to others.
Music spikes a feeling of home and nostalgia within all who hear its speech. It goes beyond just 62 sound, to an intangible glue, capable of bringing individuals together with smiles all around. Aapka Sahara Foundation is humbled by its ongoing contributions. They perform for the Elderly at our events, bringing them to sing and dance by reviving hidden memories of songs sung in their pasts.
